With a growing Family and a love of entertaining yet with the yard facing directly north we needed to open up the entertaining area to flow yet reduce the sun impact on the living/entertaining area. The entire top floor is cladded in 3 inch polystyrene foam on timber battens with wall insulation installed inside the wall cavities. This way we create a separation between the external elements and the internal living quarters.
